I have taken a bit of time off in July for vacation and a little R&R, so I was really ready to get back to work last night. Kasey and Nick are getting married – they just aren’t sure exactly when. They are being very smart and letting Kasey complete her education before the wedding. But since they have never had pictures made together, Kasey and Nick decided to do an engagement session now. They were the perfect couple for my first session back! I loved their clothing choices – thanks to Kasey’s mom. The colors were perfect for an outdoor summer session. Kasey’s sundress was adorable and she was a real trooper even when I had her sitting on pine cones, walking through tall weeds, and balancing on railroad tracks. Nick has the most amazing smile – and it’s so easy to get him to show it. The closer we would pose Kasey to him, the bigger the smile! He didn’t even complain when we asked him to kiss her . . . imagine that.
Kasey wanted to use some locations out in the country for their portrait session, so Karen and I had the opportunity to get to know them on the trip out and back. We both fell in love with Nick and Kasey. They are a delightful couple and loads of fun. We were having such a good time, we stayed until the light was totally gone. I like this particular area because we can get several different locations within a couple of minutes of each other. Variety is the spice of life, after all. Or at least it is with portrait locations!
I have an unwritten rule that I show no more than 10 images in the blog sneak preview. With this session, I had a hard time limiting myself to 10. I’ll be posting more on Facebook tonight or tomorrow, so check out my albums on my profile page.
